Hvar Port is located on the southwestern coast of the island of Hvar, directly in front of the historic town centre. The harbour faces the Pakleni Islands across an open stretch of water and can be exposed to southerly winds. Because of its location and popularity, it is one of the busiest town harbours in the central Adriatic during the summer season.
Approach to the harbour is straightforward, with a wide entrance that is easy to identify from the Hvar Channel. Traffic in the area can be intense, with ferries, taxi boats and charter yachts frequently moving in and out, especially in the afternoon and evening.
Berthing for visiting yachts inside the harbour is very limited and usually not available for larger vessels.
