Small and peaceful island in the central Adriatic
Port Orebić is situated on the waterfront of Orebić along the southern coast of the Pelješac Peninsula, directly facing the island of Korčula across the Pelješac Channel.
Port Orebić is situated on the waterfront of Orebić along the southern coast of the Pelješac Peninsula, directly facing the island of Korčula across the Pelješac Channel. The harbour serves as an active local port with ferry connections, waterfront berths and regular coastal traffic moving between the mainland and nearby islands.
The port area includes town quay berths, passenger ferry sections, local moorings and limited space for visiting yachts. Shelter inside the harbour is generally acceptable in settled weather, although stronger bora winds and southerly conditions can affect sea state throughout the Pelješac Channel.
Ferry and local traffic also increase considerably during the summer season.
Orebić is easy to identify from seaward thanks to its long waterfront and position beneath the slopes of the Pelješac hills.
Manoeuvring near the harbour is usually uncomplicated for smaller and medium-sized vessels, but available berthing space can become restricted during busy periods.
Restaurants, cafés, supermarkets and accommodation facilities extend along the waterfront and through the centre of Orebić within easy walking distance of the harbour. Additional marina facilities and organised yacht berths are available nearby around Korčula and other southern Dalmatian sailing areas.
For yachts cruising southern Dalmatia, Port Orebić is mainly used as a transit stop and practical harbour along routes between Pelješac, Korčula, Mljet and Dubrovnik. Its location on the Pelješac Channel makes it a useful coastal stop for short stays and local navigation through this part of the Adriatic.
