Omišalj city port
A pleasant stop for charter guests exploring the northern Adriatic
Located just south of Poreč’s historic old town, providing direct access to one of Istria’s most visited coastal cities
Poreč Port is located on the western coast of Istria directly beside the historic centre of Poreč. The harbour forms part of the town waterfront facing the island of Sveti Nikola and serves as a mixed-use coastal port for local boats, passenger traffic and visiting vessels rather than a dedicated marina for yachts.
The port consists mainly of town quay berths, passenger and local-use waterfront areas, and local moorings arranged around the protected inner harbour. Space for visiting yachts is limited and depends on seasonal availability along the waterfront. Manoeuvring is generally straightforward in calm conditions, although traffic increases during the summer months due to excursion boats and local vessel movement.
The harbour is naturally sheltered by the offshore island and surrounding harbour structures, providing relatively calm conditions inside the basin
Outer sections near the entrance can be affected by stronger northwesterly winds.
Restaurants, cafés, supermarkets and other town services are located directly along the waterfront and throughout the old town area within walking distance of the harbour. Organised marina berthing and additional yacht facilities are available nearby in Marina Poreč.
From a sailing perspective, Poreč Port is mainly used for short stays and town access while cruising along the western Istrian coast. Most yachts requiring organised berthing or servicing use the nearby marina facilities rather than the town harbour itself.
