Omišalj city port
A pleasant stop for charter guests exploring the northern Adriatic
Umag City Port is located directly beside the historic centre of Umag on the northwestern coast of Istria, close to the Slovenian border. The harbour forms part of the town waterfront and serves mainly as a local port for fishing boats, smaller private vessels and seasonal local traffic rather than a full-service marina for visiting yachts.
The harbour consists primarily of town quay berths and local moorings arranged along the protected waterfront. Space for visiting yachts is limited and generally depends on availability outside the operational and local-use areas. Manoeuvring is usually straightforward in calm weather, although the harbour becomes busy during the summer season.
The inner harbour is reasonably well protected, while the outer waterfront sections can be affected by stronger northern and northwesterly winds.
Due to limited space and infrastructure, larger yachts generally use nearby ACI Marina Umag, which provides organised berthing and technical services.
Restaurants, cafés, supermarkets and other town facilities are located directly along the waterfront and within walking distance of the harbour, providing immediate access to the old town area of Umag.
From a sailing perspective, Umag City Port is mainly used for short stays and local access rather than as a primary marina base. Most visiting yachts cruising the northern Adriatic use the nearby marina facilities for overnight berthing and servicing.
