Omišalj city port
A pleasant stop for charter guests exploring the northern Adriatic
Rabac is a small coastal town on the eastern side of the Istrian peninsula, set in a well-indented bay beneath the hills of Labin. While Rabac does not function as a charter base, it is a useful stop for yachts cruising along the Istrian east coast.
The bay offers sheltered conditions in moderate weather and is suitable for short stays, swimming stops or overnight anchoring. Due to its orientation, Rabac is most often approached by yachts sailing between southern Istria and the Kvarner area, particularly on routes toward Cres and Lošinj.
There are no large charter marinas in Rabac, and visiting yachts typically rely on nearby bases such as Pula, Medulin or marinas on the Kvarner islands. This makes Rabac more suitable as a route destination rather than a starting point.
Ashore, Rabac provides basic services including shops, restaurants and cafes within walking distance from the waterfront. The town is compact and easy to access, making it a practical stop without the congestion of larger ports.
Rabac is best suited for sailors looking to break up longer passages along the eastern Istrian coast or to enjoy a quiet bay with clear water before continuing toward island routes.
