Omišalj city port
A pleasant stop for charter guests exploring the northern Adriatic
Port Krk is located in the town of Krk on the southwestern coast of Krk Island in the Kvarner region of the northern Adriatic. The harbour forms part of the historic town waterfront and serves as a mixed-use coastal port for local boats, seasonal passenger traffic and visiting yachts rather than functioning as a large marina facility.
The port consists mainly of town quay berths, local moorings and waterfront berthing areas arranged around the partially sheltered harbour basin. Conditions inside the harbour are generally calm in normal weather conditions, although stronger bora winds can affect the wider coastal area around Krk Island.
Access from offshore is straightforward, with the town waterfront and harbour entrance clearly visible from the surrounding Kvarner sailing routes.
Manoeuvring near the waterfront is usually uncomplicated for smaller and medium-sized vessels, although available space for visiting yachts can become limited during the summer season due to increased harbour traffic and waterfront activity.
Restaurants, cafés, supermarkets and accommodation facilities are located directly beside the harbour and throughout the historic centre of Krk within walking distance of the waterfront.
Additional organised berthing and marina infrastructure are available nearby in marinas across Krk Island and the wider Kvarner region.
From a sailing perspective, Port Krk is mainly used as a town harbour stop and coastal transit point while cruising through Kvarner and the northern Adriatic islands.
Its central waterfront location and direct access to the town make it a practical stop for yachts navigating routes around Krk Island and Kvarner.
